Grazing rejection and management
Grazing rejection is when cows refuse to graze an area of the field, this can happen for a number of reasons:
- Poor management e.g. giving the cows too much grass
- Poor soil management e.g. putting slurry in a grazing ground
- Age of grazing lay – older grasses tend to be less palatable and unable to grow or recover as well
