HGV Driver

An opportunity has arisen at Crediton Milling for an HGV driver to join our logistics team. We are looking for an experienced and hardworking individual to deliver animal feed across the Southwest, out of our depot, based in Crediton.

With a competitive rate and training provided, we hope that the applicant would fit seamlessly into an efficient team, providing a professional delivery service to our customers in the agricultural industry.

  • A competitive rate offered based upon 50 hours a week, Monday to Friday, with some Saturday work as and when required.
  • Overtime readily available throughout busy periods of the year due to the nature of the industry we work within.
  • The successful applicant would receive 28 days holiday per year, including bank holidays.
  • Entered into the company’s pension system.


  • Must possess an HGV class C licence (or above).
  • Digital tachograph trained and a valid CPC card holder.
  • Have the ability to form positive working relationships with colleagues, E.g., Warehouse staff/other drivers/loading staff
  • Strong organisational and communication skills to be able to communicate with customers for deliveries.
  • Ability to work alone and meet deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic is essential.


  • Ensuring that goods are loaded safely and legally on lorry (Training can be provided).
  • Regularly carry out multiple drops and loads, planning the route accordingly.
  • To understand and work within the EU regulated drivers’ hours.
  • Comply with all health and safety requirements.
  • Work closely with the Transport Manager in regard to the maintenance and safety of the vehicle.

Mill Operative

CMC are seeking a Milling Operative to be involved in the processing of animal feed from raw material to storage of finished product.

You will be working the following rotating shift patterns:

SHIFT ONE (1st Month) – 36hrs 

Sunday 18:00pm – Monday 06:00am      

Monday 18:00pm – Tuesday 06:00am    

Tuesday 18:00pm – Wednesday 06:00am

SHIFT TWO (2nd Month) – 36hrs

Wednesday 18:00pm – Thursday 06:00am

Thursday 18:00pm – Friday 06:00am

Friday 18:00pm – Saturday 06:00am

SHIFT THREE (3rd Month) – 40hrs

Monday to Friday 10:00am – 18:00pm

  • Experience/knowledge of Promtek or similar process control system – not essential as training will be given.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Agricultural background preferred, but not essential.


  • Processing and manufacturing pelleted and meal animal feed to UFAS standards.
  • Running mill machinery efficiently and effectively.
  • Scheduling production to suit Customer requirements.
