Marks career began as a trainee rep for Pauls Agriculture at Lords Meadow, Crediton. Now, older and wiser, he is back in Crediton but this time as part of our ruminant technical team. Mark knows there is still much to learn but the considerable amount he has learnt, he brings to the CMC team.
Every day is a school day” is one of the rules Mark lives by. Once we stop learning we should pack up and go home. Much has changed over the but much has stayed the same. Farmers still want value for money and quality of service. Mark see his role is to help farmers in Cornwall and South Devon to make enough profit to create a sustainable lifestyle for themselves and their families. His main focus is on long term herd health and profitable milk production. This hinges on good farming, coupled with sound advice and creating a team of people to help achieve both the management goals of the business and the personal goals of the farmer. Mark has a small farm in South Devon which is managed by his wife Janet and played on by their son Daniel, and these three things take up most of his spare time. Mark also enjoys cycling, running and chocolate.
