Robert Machin

Robert joined the CMC team in July 2025 as a placement student, part of his BSc (Hons) Agri-Business Management degree at Harper Adams University.

Growing up on a smallholding in mid Devon, agriculture has always been a part of life. His passion for the industry and interest in livestock nutrition led him to CMC, where he’s keen to build on his academic learning with practical, hands-on experience across sales and customer support.

During his placement, Robert is looking forward to working closely with farmers and the technical team to deepen his understanding of the feed sector and the challenges faced by modern livestock businesses.

Outside of work, Robert is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing both cricket and rugby. He’s also a country sports enthusiast, balancing his studies and placement with time spent outdoors.
