Dr. Karen Wonnacott
Karen joined the CMC Technical Team in 2018 as our dedicated Ruminant Nutritionist.

John Cann
John joined the CMC ruminant specialist team in 2015, bringing with him a wealth of practical experience and in-depth knowledge of dairy nutrition. Alongside his role at CMC, he also runs a family-operated robotic dairy farm in Devon—giving him a valuable dual perspective as both advisor and farmer. As John puts it,
"I see both sides of the fence."
Matt Rance
Matt plays a key role within our technical team, overseeing Legislation, Trading Standards, and Product Compliance and Assurance. In addition to these responsibilities, he leads our Forage Services team and contributes his expertise as a valued member of the ruminant specialist team.
Mark Causey
Mark brings a wealth of experience to our ruminant specialist team, having started his career as a trainee representative with Pauls Agriculture at Lords Meadow, Crediton. Now, with years of industry knowledge behind him, Mark remains based in Crediton, supporting farmers across the Southwest with practical, results-focused advice.…
Gary Pulsford
Gary has been a respected feed specialist since the mid-1990s and is well known across Somerset and surrounding areas for his technical expertise, practical advice, and consistently positive approach on-farm. Having grown up in agriculture and still actively involved in the family’s mixed dairy, beef, and arable farm, now operating robotic milkers, Gary offers a well-rounded understanding of farming from both sides of the industry.
Matt Holmes
Matt joined Crediton Milling in Spring 2023, bringing with him extensive knowledge of the Southwest feed industry and a strong background rooted in farming and forestry.
Based in South Devon, Matt is known for his friendly, approachable nature and is committed to delivering practical, quality advice that supports the success of farming businesses.
Ed Redman
Ed joined Crediton Milling in March 2021, bringing over a decade of diverse experience in the feed industry across both transport and sales roles. His passion lies in supporting dairy farmers with expert advice and tailored nutritional solutions that drive herd performance and business success.
Stuart Gough
Stuart joined the CMC Technical Team in March 2025, bringing with him over 30 years of experience as a farm-focused veterinary surgeon.
Phil Stoneman
Phil joined Crediton Milling in 2010, following a successful career as a herd manager and a smooth transition into the feed industry. With decades of hands-on experience, Phil brings deep-rooted knowledge of dairy farming and an exceptional understanding of farms across the Southwest — he’s rarely seen needing a map.
Sarah Cann
Sarah is a valued member of our Dairy Focus Team, delivering expert nutritional support and practical advice to farming customers across the Southwest. As part of our wider ruminant team, she plays a key role in helping producers optimise herd health, productivity, and business performance.
Pete Davis
Pete Davis was the first Ruminant Nutritionist to join Crediton Milling and a founding member of our technical team. With over 30 years of experience in the dairy industry, Pete brings a wealth of practical and consultancy expertise to the role.
Graham Dodd
Graham Dodd is our Commercial Manager, overseeing feed formulations, mill products, and bespoke blends. With a strong understanding of commodity markets, Graham is always happy to support customers with insights into pricing trends, forward contracts, and market developments to help inform purchasing decisions.
Steve Chapman
In 2012, Steve founded SC Nutrition with a clear goal: to offer a progressive, in-depth nutritional consultancy service to a select number of farms across Cornwall. His approach focuses not only on ration performance but also on the critical link between nutrition and cow comfort believing that happy, healthy cows are the foundation of a productive herd.
Megan Herriot
Megan grew up on a neighbouring beef and sheep farm on the outskirts of Taunton, Somerset and continued her passion of farming when she studied Agriculture at Cannington then progressing to studying Farm Business Management at Harper Adams University. She graduated in 2021 and progressed into a job with a fellow feed company gaining a RAMA qualification resulting in her being able to advice and prescribe animal medicine.
Trevor Bedford
Trevor has been part of the Crediton Milling team since his early twenties and brings decades of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to his role. Over the years, he has become a familiar and trusted face across our trading area, supporting a wide range of ruminant farmers and merchant stores.
Ruminant Placement Students
Robert Machin
Robert joined the CMC team in July 2025 as a placement student, part of his BSc (Hons) Agri-Business Management degree at Harper Adams University.
Poultry Specialists
Russell Crang
Russell is a key part of our management team and the driving force behind our poultry sector. With over 30 years of experience in the industry and as a successful poultry grower himself he brings real-world insight and practical know-how to the table.
Will White
Will is a vital part of our poultry team, known for his broad feed knowledge, boundless enthusiasm, and hands-on approach. He's not one to sit on the sidelines Will gets fully involved in his customers’ enterprises, building strong relationships and offering advice that’s both practical and insightful.
Gwenda Wozencraft
With farming in her blood and a true passion for agriculture, Gwenda thrives when she’s out on farm, working alongside poultry producers to make a real difference. She’s especially committed to helping her customers get the very best from their flocks and their businesses always ready with practical support and a positive attitude.
David Hope
David’s passion for poultry started early, growing up on his family farm in Oxfordshire. After graduating from Harper Adams in 2007, he’s worked across the poultry sector, bringing years of experience and practical know-how to his role.
David Small
With a broad background in agriculture and a wealth of hands-on experience, Dave brings both knowledge and enthusiasm to the team.
Before joining Crediton Milling, he worked in various roles across the industry most recently as a Contract Support Manager for a national egg packer.
Colin Gravatt
Colin joined CMC in January 2024, bringing over 30 years of poultry industry experience. Originally from a mixed family farm in New Zealand’s North Island, his passion for agriculture began early and led him to the UK in 1988, where he started work in a poultry and ruminant mill in the Southwest.
Forage Specialists
Matt Rance

Mark Tucker
Mark has extensive knowledge in forage production and quality, with a strong belief in the power of well-managed, home-grown forage. He works closely with farmers to develop bespoke plans tailored to each individual enterprise, always aiming to maximise the potential of their land and livestock.
Mike Allen
Coming from a farming family in Cornwall, Mike has been immersed in agriculture for most of his life and is a well-known figure in the local farming community. With many years of experience in forage production, he brings both technical expertise and a practical, no-nonsense approach to supporting farm businesses.
Sonya Treen
Sonya joined Crediton Milling in November 2021 and is a key member of our Forage Team. With a lifelong interest in farming, she has a particular passion for livestock especially sheep and previously kept a small flock of Devon Close wools, which sparked her deeper interest in pasture and forage management.
Beth Kent
Beth joined the Crediton Milling Forage Team in September 2023 and is also an active member of our Ruminant Focus Team. Coming from a dairy farming family in Cornwall, she’s been surrounded by livestock from an early age and brings a strong practical background to her role.
Focus Team
Kyrin Hole
Kyrin is part of the Ruminant Focus Team which provides high quality support to our sales team by carrying out a diverse range of technical services on farm such as locomotion scoring, body condition scoring, Interherd reports and costings. Kyrin is extremely practical and very competent in and around cows.
Caitlin Pople
Caitlin is a dairy farmer’s daughter and youngstock rearer that joined CMC in the Summer of 2023. Caitlin brings with her a wide knowledge of the agricultural industry and has worked as a Head Veterinary Nurse in a small animal practice in Devon. In Caitlin’s spare time, she loves walking her dogs in the countryside and spending time with family and friends.
Beth Kent
Beth joined the Crediton Milling Forage Team in September 2023 and is also an active member of our Ruminant Focus Team. Coming from a dairy farming family in Cornwall, she’s been surrounded by livestock from an early age and brings a strong practical background to her role.
Tori Leggott
Tori is part of the Ruminant Focus Team which provides high quality support to our sales team by carrying out a diverse range of technical services on farm such as locomotion scoring, body condition scoring, dung sieving and costings.
Team Leaders
Mark Gulley
Mark is our Managing Director and has been at the heart of Crediton Milling for many years. He oversees all raw material purchasing and plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operations at Fordton Mills.
Andrew Power
Andrew is our Commercial Director, and while he didn’t start out in agriculture, he found his way into the industry the old-fashioned way by marrying the boss’s daughter! Over the past 20 years, with the support of many skilled, passionate, and hard-working teams, he’s learned a thing or two and developed a real love for the business and the people in it.
Stephen Gulley
Steve heads up our busy transport department and plays a crucial role in making sure everything runs like clockwork. From coordinating deliveries and managing logistics to keeping our fleet running smoothly, Steve ensures that customers receive their orders on time and without fuss.
Scott Brimilcombe
Scott oversees all day-to-day operations at CMC, ensuring everything from production to logistics runs efficiently and to a high standard. With a sharp eye for detail and a hands-on approach, he works closely with teams across the business to keep things moving smoothly and deliver consistently for our customers.
Darren Hughes
Darren is responsible for the day-to-day running of the mill, ensuring production stays on schedule and everything operates safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. With a strong focus on quality and teamwork, he plays a vital role in keeping the heart of our business running smoothly.
