Matt plays a key role within our technical team, overseeing Legislation, Trading Standards, and Product Compliance and Assurance. In addition to these responsibilities, he leads our Forage Services team and contributes his expertise as a valued member of the ruminant specialist team.

Ruminant

With a background in dairy consultancy and hands-on farm management, Matt takes a practical, whole-farm approach to livestock nutrition. His focus lies in integrating nutritional strategies with innovative grassland and forage management, helping customers optimise both animal performance and farm efficiency.

Known for his grounded, solutions-focused mindset, Matt is passionate about applying science in ways that deliver real results on-farm. His in-depth understanding of both compliance and practical farming ensures our products and services consistently meet the highest standards of quality and assurance.

Forage

Alongside his other responsibilities within CMC, Matt Rance is further a key member of our forage specialist team providing farmers with reliable advice from his very experienced background. Being a farm manager for a decade prior, Matt can resonate with farmers as he has had first hand experiences of the struggles that arable farmers face.

He has been a forage expert with us for over a decade and is well-known for his approachable and forward-thinking attitude within work.

Away from work, Matt enjoys spending time outdoors with his family. He is a keen handy man and gardener, he’s happiest when building something useful or nurturing his garden. In Matts spare time, he is a drone enthusiast where he loves to catch photos of the Devonshire countryside and spend time with his family.
